FFA 124 Character Design Caricature

Next assignment is to draw a caricature and can barely believe that it's actually in the syllabus because I'm really not good at drawing real or semi-real faces. Look how I got through it. I did do it twice for better results.

I actually did it straight from sketches, meaning that I didn't have a sketch layer. I straight out drew the lineart from the sketch itself. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad habit. Clever me forgot to screenshot the sketching progress.

After that, before putting colours, I adjusted the size of everything but head to emphasize the concept caricature. I did it many times to reach the one I'm satisfied with and fits with my goal because I'm not used to drawing a body with not the usual proportions.

I know this maybe is too fast-forward but the process doesn't have anything interesting worth mentioning so I'll just move on to the final result of this particular assignment. I am quite satisfied with the lighting contours of the face even though it's nothing to be compared to my other friends'.

Final result.

Credit to Nurul Sabrina Azman for lending her face to be wrecked by me.
